When we first started Coastal we had a difficult time describing our growth process. We came across a church that described ministry and made a comparison to a house.
We loved it!! We asked if we could borrow that idea. Now we use the picture of a home to describe our process of helping people grow in Christ. A home has a foyer where individuals can meet folks for the first time without feeling any pressure. The living room is a place for family where guests are welcomed and hospitality is essential. The kitchen is the place where family comes together and share the joys and trials of life. Finally, the backyard is where family reaches out to those in their community and around the world through serving.
